Things are exciting and moving rapidly as our client is growing and looking for an experienced Sr. Project Engineer to join the team! The workplace culture is both friendly and dynamic, and in this role, you will have plenty of opportunities to interact with all members of our project teams.

As an Engineered To Order provider of process equipment, you’ll enjoy the ability to work on a number of different projects that vary in scope, design, and function. As our Sr. Project Engineer, you will work on a project team to execute all engineering and design deliverables for our various ETO pressure vessel projects. 

Key Contributions:
  • Work with the project management teams to execute all engineering, and design deliverables. 
  • Develop and supervise the issuance of all project documents including P&IDs, PFDs, 3D modeling for piping and construction layouts, and third-party vendor construction design packages.
  • Performs project tasks such as sizing equipment & the associated piping layouts, creating detail construction packages including skid structures, and performing code calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) by following the applicable code of construction such as ASME Sec. VIII, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, and/or NACE MR0175 as a minimum requirement
  • Continuously review the project engineering deliverables for quality, accuracy, and safety.
  • Periodically participate in HAZOP and/or project status review meetings with customers.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the as built drawings and provide clear resolutions to the fabrication challenges as needed.
  • Support preparation of cost estimates as required to support budgetary cost estimates and proposals.
  • Acts as a team mentor to review the engineering project deliverables, provide guidance, and set up the training sessions including lessons and learned, implement department training sessions, and conduct lunch and learned sessions. The ultimate goal is to drive our business efficiency and accuracy.
  • Aligns with our internal Process Engineering team to offer customer solutions to grow and expand the new business markets.  

Requirements
  • BS or MS in a Mechanical Engineering or applicable discipline, typically an engineering degree; or equivalent experience if allowed by law.
  • At least 10 to 12 years of relevant discipline experience as a Project Engineer on multiple large capital projects in the Oil and Gas industry is required.  Specific experience with pressure vessel design is also required.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in oil & gas process solutions engineering is preferred but not required. 
  • Previous manufacturing shop operations experience is strongly preferred but not required. 
  • Previous experience that demonstrates a strong technical competency and engineering knowledge on similar process equipment projects is required.
  • 3D Modeling skills and experience such as CadWorx and Solidworks is strongly preferred but not required.
  • The ability to cross the engineering, the manufacturing, and/or the operations functional teams to execute the large scales of the turnkey projects in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) process is required.
  • Working knowledge of the gas processing projects, mechanical (OEM) product, Engineered to Order (ETO) product and/or equipment is preferred but not required.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and ability to prioritize workload to meet due dates is required. 
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail while remaining creative and innovative is required. 
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License is required or ability to pass the exam and obtain the certified Professional Engineer license within 12 months after hired.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) License is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in an ISO 9000 environment is preferred but not required.
