Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team! Strategic Contract Resources, LLC (“SCR”) offers a balance of a sales-oriented environment paired with a collaborative culture. This opportunity has a competitive base salary + uncapped commission potential.

Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for revenue generation through new business development activities including daily planning, networking, sourcing, cold calling, client visits, and related follow-up activities to customers in designated segments or target lists within the petrochemical industry.
  • The Business Development Manager regularly calls on prospective and current clients to build relationships, obtain orders for SCR and to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • The Business Development Manager builds relationships with clients through the delivery of exceptional service characterized by mutual respect, understanding, and trust.
  • Engage in new and existing client development activities.
  • Activities include but are not limited to: sourcing, cold calling, qualifying initial clients, identifying potential end users/decision-makers, establishing contact relationships, completing company/department profiles and organizational charts, marketing candidates, identifying national/third party/vendor on-premise opportunities, scheduling and conducting new and follow-up client visits.
  • Conduct market research and qualify/classify target accounts, 
  • Select and employ appropriate account development strategies/programs.
  • Establish client expectations and effectively communicate to appropriate parties. Advise clients on staffing solutions.
  • Facilitate the development of professional service agreements (including negotiation of terms when necessary) between  SCR and clients.
  • Coordinate with other field associates once a job order need has been identified and obtained.
  • Leverage CRM to track and maintain current and prospective clients.
Determine and implement appropriate marketing techniques for market, industry, and region

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Minimum one-to-two years experience in business-to-business sales.
  • Comfort developing relationships over the phone and in person.
  • Resiliency necessary to handle the rejection that comes with any sales position with superior cold calling skills.
  • Highly competitive nature.
  • Self motivated and flexible with the ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills.
  • Internet-savvy to perform targeted Internet research/searches identifying candidates to meet objectives.
  • Work well independently and in a team environment.
