Reports to: Vice President of Engineering
JOB SUMMARY:
Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical components, equipment, products, and systems for industrial purposes pertaining to the manufacture and operations of Boilers, Deaerators and other boiler room related equipment.

FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED:
• Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered during the manufacturing of boiler room equipment.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing, installation, and support of electrical equipment to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and customer requirements.
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing and installation standards and specifications
• Inspect completed electrical installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with specifications and safety standards
• Prepare specifications for the purchase of materials and equipment from suppliers
• Supervise and train team members as necessary
• Analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot information to resolve design- related problems
• Write procedures for electrical equipment and installations
• Review engineering and customer specifications regarding electrical requirements for equipment to be manufactured
• Support testing of electrical components on equipment at the company's facility and other testing facilities off-site
• Prepare drawings and procedures with details and clarity for facility personnel to follow
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Must be capable of following verbal and/or written instructions
• Must be capable of good articulation when talking on the telephone with customers
• Must have good mathematical skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial skills
• Must know and practice good drafting procedures
• Must possess good electrical/mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Detail minded
• Able and willing to assist with troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor when needed
• Have the ability to sit for long periods of time
• Have the ability to grasp, stoop, squat or to perform duties with reasonable accommodation
• Proficient with current computer programs and applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Internship or other experience in a manufacturing environment, experience in ASME code processes, fire tube and hot water condensing boilers and burner management systems, electrical control panels, and experience with UL testing.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
