Job Description
The Warehouse/Material Handler is responsible for receiving, verification and handling materials and supplies from outside vendors purchased by the company.
Essential Functions: The following duties are considered essential functions for this job in which the employee must be able to perform:
Job Task Frequency
Must be able to perform tasks to include but are not limited to:
• Receiving incoming materials verifying through visual and technical inspection in accordance with standards/procedures and in conformance with refining practices requiring color coding, positive material identification, testing and measuring.
• Tagging/Labeling all incoming materials using barcodes to be distributed to proper location.
• Inspecting invoices to validate material received via barcodes.
• Locating all incoming stock and non-stock materials to appropriate bin locations or specified storage areas after receipt verification.
• Delivering stock and non-stock materials to designated areas via forklift, truck or walking.
• Picking requested stock materials via electronic pick lists, verbal or emergency requests. Picking is performed manually, in accordance to weight/body limitations, order picker, hand truck or forklift.
• Performing annual cycle counts in accordance with specified area procedures to assure accurate inventories.
• Performing requisition warehouse stock materials on an emergency basis and non-stock inventory items periodically.
• Delivering gas cylinders (up to 12 at a time) to designated areas on a daily basis using a truck with a Tommy Lift.
• Execute transactions in company ERP system involving goods receiving, issuing, returns, transfers and physical inventory.
Physical tasks include but are not limited to:
• Lifting various items from a 5 inch height to a 34 inch high cart to include but are not limited to:
o 50 pound box of paper reams: (18 x 12 x 10)
o 45 pound UPS box: (9 x 17 x 10)
o 37 pound 5 gallon bucket of gear oil: lift to a 30 inch height
o 43 pound 5 gallon bucket of oil: lift to a 30 inch height
o 42 pound liquid container of silicone fluid: lift to a 22 inch height
• Using a dolly to handle and maneuver boxes or items as needed.
• Using a pallet jack for pallets or large items.
• Reaching in various planes of shoulder angles and heights up to 72 inches to obtain or store items. *May use step stool or portable ladders as needed. Occasional to Frequent depending upon job requirements
